Generally it sounds, to me, like the emotion of the first serious exam in school. It also sounds like watching from the Rarău mountain towards the surrounding blue mountains, on a day heavy with rain clouds.

And then, that huge step, repeating: life after reading your first important book. Emotion of a kind I can’t express, there was a word in Romanian but I didn’t use it for a long time, and I forgot it :(, died a little.

Sounds like the Romanian peasants called to move to work in the industry at the beginning of the ’50s: waking up at 4 o’clock in some earthly paradise corner to take the bus to their new half-a-century-life.

Based on the first 9 minutes, I would rather call it 1949. I bet everybody in the byzantine area felt then that the force was with them.

BTW I’m not going to put anything about 1989 up on my site until the whole project is done which will be in another month or two. But I’d love to hear your thoughts on the preview
